EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program is jointly funded on a 50:50 basis by the
State Government (Arts Qld) and Noosa Council. Traditionally applications are called twice a
year.

The 2013/2014 Sunshine Coast Council budget provided funds for two RADF rounds. The
Sunshine Coast Council processed the first of these rounds in the second half of 2013.

Following de-amalgamation $12,840 was transferred to Noosa Council from Sunshine Coast
Council for the second round of 2013/14 RADF grants however $2,290 of these funds were pre-
committed to smartArts+ projects in the Noosa region by the SCC RADF Committee meaning
that a total of $10,550 is available for this RADF round. This report covers the second round of
the 201/3/14 financial year that closed on 28 March 2014.

Funding totalling $10,110 for 5 projects is recommended. There are sufficient funds in the
2013/2014 budget to cover the recommendations in this report.

RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Cultural Project Officer to the Infrastructure & Services
Committee dated 20 May 2014 and endorse the Regional Arts Development Fund Grant
Recommendations for Round 1 2014 as set out in Attachment 1 to the report.
