Located on the northern side of Louis Bazzo Drive, the Subject lot abuts forest on all sides. To the southwest, south and southeast shorter fire run length lessens the nature of the threat, but significant fire runs are available from the west, north and east. An access track of approximately 100m in length has been constructed to the cleared area shown in Figure 2. The site is within approximately 15km of the nearest full time Queensland Fire and Emergency Services location (Pomona Fire Station), with local rural fire brigades also likely responders, but with a response time dependant on volunteers to turn out.
