DESCRIPTION OF POWER DELEGATED                                              LEGISTATION
Power to enter into a medium-sized contractual arrangement or Section 230(1)
large-sized contractual arrangement in accordance with a quote or
tender consideration plan adopted by local government resolution.
Power to enter into a medium-sized contractual arrangement or Section 231(2)
large-sized contractual arrangement for services with a person on an
approved contractor list.
Power to put together an approved contractor list.                          Section 231(4)
Power to enter into a contract for a medium-sized contractual Section 232(2)
arrangement or large-sized contractual arrangement for the supply of
goods or services with a supplier from a register of pre-qualified
suppliers.
Power to establish a register of pre-qualified suppliers of particular Section 232(3)
goods or services.
Power to invite suppliers to tender to be on a register of pre-qualified Section 232(4)
suppliers.
Power to enter into a medium-sized contractual arrangement or Section 233(2)
large-sized contractual arrangement for goods or services with
a preferred supplier under a preferred supplier arrangement.
Power to enter a preferred supplier arrangement.                            Section 233(2)
Power to invite persons to tender for a preferred supplier arrangement. Section 232(3)
Power to enter into a contract for goods and services under an LGA Section 234(1)
arrangement.
Power to enter into a medium-sized contractual arrangement or Section 235
large-sized contractual arrangement in circumstances specified in
section 235.

Nb. For subsections 235(a) and 235(b) it is a legislative precondition to
the exercise of the power that Council first pass the resolution referred
to in the respective subsection.
