Delegated Power:
     1. To exercise the powers of Council pursuant to the Local Government Act 2009.


 DESCRIPTION OF POWER DELEGATED                                             LEGISTATION
 Power to establish an efficient and effective internal audit function.     Section 105(1)
 Power, as a large local government, to establish an audit committee.       Section 105(2)
 Power to maintain public liability insurance and professional indemnity Section 107(1)
 insurance.
 Power to enter into a contract of insurance with WorkCover Queensland Section 107(3)
 or another insurer to cover its councillors.


2.   To exercise the powers of Council pursuant to the Local Government Regulation 2012.


 DESCRIPTION OF POWER DELEGATED                                             LEGISTATION
 Power to discharge Council’s responsibilities in a way that is consistent Section 165(4)
 with the adopted 5-year corporate plan.
 Power to discharge Council’s responsibilities in a way that is consistent Section 174(5)
 with the adopted annual operational plan.
 Power to omit information from the copies of the annual performance plan Section 175(3)
 (which is part of the annual operational plan) made available to the public
 if subsections (3)(a) and (b) are satisfied.
 Power to publish Council’s annual report on Council’s website.             Section 182(4)
 Power to allow the public to inspect and purchase copies of the Section 199(2)
 documents referred to in subsection (1).
