1 Finalise the Climate Change Adaptation Plan and initiate Director Environment & Sustainable Draft Coastal Hazards Adaptation Plan public consultation is complete. On track @
implementation of actions Development Review of submissions and further targetted engagement underway. Whole
of Shire Climate Change Response Plan has commenced consultation until
30 April.
2 Continue to implement the Noosa Transport Strategy Director Infrastructure Services Go Noosa program undertaken during Easter 2021 holidays. Translink On track @
priority actions as determined by Council initiatives still being investigated. Schools program underway.
3 Finalise the adoption of the new Noosa Planning Director Environment & Sustainable Noosa Plan 2020 commenced 31 July and has already had one Completed @
Scheme Development administrative amendment. A further Coastal Hazards Amendment is in
progress. Wide range of supporting material is available on line. Special
interest presentations have occurred.
4 Establish a Placemaking Team and commence pilot Director Environment & Sustainable Commenced internal governance strucutre in Nov 2020 and will continue Behind Schedule @
project Development with organisational readiness program until end of 2021.
5 Finalise the development of the Walking and Cycling Director Infrastructure Services The draft Walking and Cycling Strategy is out for public consultation closing Behind Schedule @
Strategy on 16 April. After amendment the strategy will be presented to Council for
endorsement.
6 Complete Asset Management Plans for pathways and Director Infrastructure Services The Pathways and Boardwalk Asset Management Plan has been adopted by On track @
boardwalks and for parks and playgrounds Council. The Parks and Playgrounds Asset Management Plan is expected to
be complete by end of financial year.
7 — Implement recommendations arising from the Noosa Spit Director Infrastructure Services Submission for permits and approvals completed. Detailed specification and On track @
Shoreline Erosion Management Plan (SEMP) drawings have been completed. Tender to be advertised in line with approval
conditions when received.
8 Review the Noosa Council Corporate Plan Chief Executive Officer A timetable to undertake the development of the new Corporate Plan has Behind Schedule @
been finalised. The first workshop date will be set for Councillors shortly.
