PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 7 FEBRUARY 2017

Further consultation with the Community Services Directorate has recommended continuing with
the future land proposals contained in the current PIP and Noosa Parks Strategy 2006 until such
time as the further planning has been completed for the new Sport and Active Recreation Plan
and new Open Space Plan. The land requirements can then be updated for the LGIP under the
new planning scheme.
An assessment of the existing District and Shire-wide parks and facilities and the remaining PIP
proposed future additional land is provided in Attachment 1 and:
   lists each existing park/facility by locality, name, type, classification and current land area;
 summarises the respective total existing land area to give the existing land supply provision
     rates (ha/1000 resident population) to the current projected 2031 LGIP horizon;
 lists the remaining future land requirements proposed under the Noosa Parks Strategy
     2006 and current PIP; and
 proposes a revised DSS land supply provision to satisfy the current projected resident
     population to the 2031 LGIP horizon. The resulting difference between the current PIP and
     the amendments proposed is highlighted by the following table:
                                                                              Land for Community
