2.3 PROPOSED CHANGE
On the 10 October 2022, a change application was made to Noosa Council (‘proposed
change’). The proposed change is for a resort complex with ancillary retail. The
development comprises resort accommodation, with 174 rooms, 16 suites and five (5)
villas; resort facilities, including restaurants, function rooms, indoor and outdoor
recreation, well-being and open space areas; and resort retail. Based on the architectural
plans (Richards and Spence Architects, Drawing No. SD-A-01-01-G – SD-A-01-07-G, Rev. J,
5 July 2023) and preliminary earthworks plan (ALTA Projects, Drawing No. A6769-
23_SK19, Rev. 2, 6 July 2023), the total development footprint for the proposed change is
approximately 15,630 sqm.
Preliminary design advice received from the project engineers indicates that earthworks
will be largely confined to the development footprint, however there may be some
additional works outside of the development footprint to allow for driveway access and
services, such as, stormwater.
The proposed change is shown in Figure 5. Refer to Appendix 2, for copies of the
proposed plans.
