SITE MANAGEMENT RULES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION – CONSTRUCTION PHASE B-1
APPENDIX B: SITE MANAGEMENT RULES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION – CONSTRUCTION PHASE
The EMP for the Construction phase of the Settlers Cove project describes various management
actions that will need to be implemented for the duration of the project. Within these actions, there
are a number of overarching Site Management Rules that are to be stringently applied at the site.
These rules are specified below. These rules are to be presented at the Site Induction Program to all
personnel who will be working on site. These rules will be given as a handout at the induction
program and each person attending the course will be required to sign a copy indicating that they
have read, understood and will comply with these rules. These rules will also be presented on a notice
board clearly visible near the site office. The rules are also to be included on Operational Works
drawings.
Any person found to be in breach of these rules will:
• be advised of such by the Principal Contractor or Site Environmental Officer (SEO)
• be asked for an explanation as to why the rule has been broken
• be advised to rectify the breach immediately
• be required to show cause why they should not be excluded from further work at the site.
• If necessary, the offender will be required to vacate the site.
• Any costs for rectification of any breach will be deducted from the relevant contract.
