SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 7 NOVEMBER 2017

                            Sunshine Beach – Skate Park Renewal

In addition to the above-mentioned completed projects, planning for the 2017/18 road reseal
program is well underway. The current program for the road reseal is:
 Road rehabilitation works on St Andrews Drive, Tewantin & Lake Macdonald Drive, Lake
     Macdonald are nearing completion;
 Asphalt overlay works to be carried out in the months of November and again in February
     2018; and
 Spray sealing in the Hinterland will commence in early 2018.
3.   Asset Management Programs
The main focus of this report is on construction type projects but there are a number of annual
and cyclical projects that are currently being delivered across the capital program and these
include:
     CCTV stormwater condition inspection program;
     gravel re-sheeting program; and
 asset management system mobility project.
These projects are aligned to Council’s asset management focus and asset condition inspection
programs which then determine the future capital renewal programs.
4.   Project Planning & Design
The project delivery approach for 2017/18 has seen a steady flow of projects commence. The
availability of design and planning resources has challenged the capital program with a number
of positions been vacated throughout the first quarter and whilst the program is on target with the
year to date budget forecasts, there will be impacts on the delivery throughout the second and
third quarter until design and planning resources are allocated. The next quarter will focus on
priority projects and consideration for adjustments to the program will be undertaken to ensure
targets are achieved.
