Dear Cameron,
RE: Proposed Duplex 111 & 113 Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.
With regard to the above-mentioned project and further to councils Information Request dated 2nd
December 2016 find attached JTC Consulting Engineers Draw Nos.
216133 – OP1, OP2-A, OP3-A, OP4, OP10, OP11A, OP15, OP16.
HT477-SK10, SK11, SK12, SK13.
Also attached is the Hydraulic Modelling Report prepared by Mr Steven Sullivan from TOPO Consulting
as well as photographs indicating the alignment and levels of the external stormwater drainage.
With direct reference to the Council RFI and further to our Mr John Titmus’s meeting with Noosa Shire
Council’s Engineer Mr Mark Lewis on 2nd February 2017 we provide the following responses.
Information Required 4
(a) Provide drainage lines to collect and convey surface water from the adjoining properties to ensure
no worsening on the existing drainage conditions.
Response;
Draw Nos. OP2-A indicates a 450X300 RCBC running down the western boundary of the subject
site. This culvert will provide relief drainage from the surface flows off the sea scouts site. The
capacity of this culvert is 130l/sec. This is in addition to the existing sub-surface drainage from the
existing two (2) field gullies and associated 450 dia RCP located within the sea scouts property and
shown on the TOPO report. This 450 RCP discharges directly into the canal east of the subject site.
Within the summary of the TOPO report it is stated that the peak stormwater level within the sea
scouts site will range between 1.43m AHD for a 100 year ARI with free flowing outlets to 1.69m for
a 100 year ARI during the HAT (Highest Astronomical Tide 1.59mAHD). The inlet flow of the
existing gully pits is the principle control of the ponding depths in the immediate area and a 450X300
RCBC has been provided to provide relief flow. As a result no worsening of the existing drainage
conditions will occur.
(b) Collection of all stormwater runoff from the driveway within the boundaries of the site to
minimise sheet flow runoff onto the public footpath.
Response;
Draw OP2-A indicates a grated drain has been provided across the width of the driveway at the
boundary.
