The proposed development would consolidate activity in and around the existing Peregian retail,
commercial and community facilities with flow-on benefits to surrounding businesses and
facilities in contributing to activity and vibrancy for these businesses, with potentially some 100
residents and short term visitors supported on site at peak periods.

The realisation of economic and community benefits, including localised employment
opportunities for Peregian and flow-on employment opportunities, can therefore be maximised
through the development of both permanent residential and boutique short term
accommodation facilities on the subject site, catering for unmet and emerging visitor markets,
consolidating the Peregian Beach Village precinct and improving choice in living and visitor
lifestyles.
