6.3 TREE PROTECTION FENCING (TPF)
TPZ fencing may consist of 1m high plastic orange mesh barrier fencing or a double row of
flagging with star pickets with end caps as support, spaced at 4 – 5m and attached with zip
ties. This style of fencing is deemed suitable for larger sites when work activities are generally
to be within the central area of the site with the proposed retained trees are on the periphery
and away from main site activities.
