Forecasted growth in liquor spending appears to be constant leading up to 2021
with an average annual increase of 1.1%. Total liquor spending is expected to
increase from $26.5 million currently, to $29.3 million by 2021.
Wine sales represent the highest majority of liquor spending, accounting for
around 45% of the total liquor spend. This is consistent with the generally more
affluent areas where wine sales are much stronger than other categories such as
beer.
