    1.2 Proposed development

    Figure 1 details the proposed development plan for the site. The proposed
    redevelopment involves converting the existing lawn bowls into a hotel (900m2)
    and a First Choice Liquor store (1,200m2).


    Key points to note in relation to the development plan include:

                                                                        hotel.

                                                                        extension of the lawn
                                                                        bowls (western wing)

                                                                        store.


                                                                     • Development                    of
                                                                        commercial
                                                                        floorspace         on        the
                                                                        southern frontage to
                                                                        Noosa Fair.


    The existing Noosa Fair centre to the south contains a large provision of core
    retail facilities including a supermarket, mini-major and specialty floorspace.
    There are 21 specialty retail shops provided in an open air format. As such, the
    precinct already provides a strong retail destination for the nearby population.
