Management and Conservation. The Environmental Management and Conservation zoning on Lot
203 incorporates an area of treed open space fronting Noosa Drive along the length of the existing
resort, which has width of about 10m. The Environmental Management and Conservation zoning
on Lot 3 correlates with the mapped riparian buffer area under the Biodiversity, Waterways and
Wetlands Overlay and is situated directly adjacent to the Weyba Creek Bushland Reserve.
The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries identifies Weyba Creek as a ‘Fish Habitat
Management Area A’. The site is also identified as including “essential habitat” by the State
Regional Ecosystem mapping as it potentially supports species that are endangered, vulnerable,
threatened or rare (the Nature Conservation Act 1992) which are known to utilise this habitat
including koalas and acid frogs.
The following image details the split zoning applicable to the site.
