statutory planning instruments to the extent they are relevant to the development:
• State Planning Policy;
• South East Queensland Regional Plan;
• Planning Regulation 2017;
• Noosa Plan 2020.
3.2. State and Other Statutory Instruments
State Planning Policy
The State Planning Policy July 2017 (SPP) has been integrated in the Noosa Plan 2020, though
the state’s policies for Natural hazards, risk and resilience - coastal hazards have only been
integrated in part. The proposal is within the mapped coastal management district, however, is not
mapped as erosion prone area, and as such, assessment against the State Planning Policy is not
required, with Natural hazards, risk and resilience – coastal hazards assessment benchmarks not
applicable to this application.
