           ii.   complies with the Local Government Act 2009, the Local Government Regulation
                 2012 and Australian Accounting Standards.
Furthermore, the Community Financial Report (provided in the Annual Report) has been prepared
by Council’s Financial Services Branch and provides readers with an easy-to-follow summary and
analysis of Council’s financial position for the 2022/23 financial year.

2. Additional content

New content has been included to further enhance and increase transparency and compliance
with industry and Australasian Reporting Awards standards and includes the following:

   •   The Noosa Story – new content outlining our region’s history now aligns to our Corporate
       Plan story.
   •   Noosa Shire Quick Facts – Greater detail and transparency outlining our Shire’s
       economic, social, employment, housing, health, and population statistics.
   •   Council’s Roles and Responsibilities – new content outlining the various roles Council
       undertakes to deliver a range of services for our community.
   •   Elected members –Further information that explains key roles and responsibilities of
       elected members at Council.
   •   Values – Our new Corporate Values have been emphasised and the journey Council
       undertook towards the development of the values.
   •   Organisational Structure – new content explaining our organisational realignment.
   •   Executive Team – new images of the Executive Team and further details explaining our
       new organisational structure.
   •   SPARC Employee Awards – new content celebrating the achievements of Council staff
       who were nominated for various awards.
   •   People & Culture – new content emphasising various initiatives that support our
       employees, including leadership training, policy improvements and wellbeing programs.
   •   Work Health and Safety – new content outlining our new Work Health and Safety
       Management System Plan, incident and injury results and how Council is managing
       psychosocial risks.
   •   Volunteers – new content highlighting the important work volunteers do on behalf of Council.
   •   Awards and recognition – new content celebrating the various industry sector awards
       Council has achieved during the reporting period.
   •   Year in Review – content against the themes now aligns to the Operational Plan results
       and clearly outlines the various activities, initiatives and projects Council has completed
       or is in the process of completing in order to achieve its long-term objectives. Some areas
       of Council have had their achievements highlighted further, such as our resource
       recovery and community support teams.
   •   Infrastructure projects – new content identifying several infrastructure projects that have
       been completed for our community.
   •   Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – new content outlining our results against our
       strategic KPIs.
   •   Procurement – new content outlining the various tenders Council awarded during the
       reporting period.
