The changes sought by this application are expected to alleviate Council's previously expressed concems in
relation to the visibility of the proposed changes when viewed from prominent locations in and around
Hastings Street; the most notable of which is the Noosa Surf Club. Reference is made to the attached
‘Perspective View from Surf Club’ prepared by dm2architecture, which clearly illustrates that the proposed
alterations to the building will have no visual impact on the built form when viewed from Noosa Beach. We
note that Council verbally confirmed their general acceptance of the design outcomes sought by these plans
at a meeting held at Council on 6" November 2009. We therefore respectfully request that Council's
consideration of this request be given priority such that a resolution is reached in a timely manner.

In accordance with section 3.5.24 we ask that Council consider the above matters and issue an Amended
Decision Notice reflecting the above representations.

To assist Council with their consideration of this request, this application is supported by:

e Architectural Plans prepared by dm2architecture;

e The approved form duly completed with an accurate description of the land (IDAS Application
Form Part 2 - Request to change and existing approval);

e The written consent of the Body Corporate; and

e The fee in accordance with the 2009-2010 Development Application assessment fee schedule,

calculated as being $721.00. Please note that this fee was confirmed with Jack Lewis as being the
applicable fee for this request as a result of Council's recent dealings with the site.
