PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 20 MAY 2014
Proposed tenure arrangements and group responsibilities
It is proposed that a three year lease be offered to Sunshine Coast Sports Aviators Inc and a
three year trustee permit be offered to the Noosa Model Flyers Inc. Each group’s proposed
tenure establishment costs and main tenure responsibilities are listed below:
All associated costs with establishing the trustee permit and lease, including survey plan,
registration and legal costs to prepare the lease (approximately $3,000 in total per tenure).
The tenure agreements are over the footprint of the respective buildings only (see Attachment
1 identifying the location of each of the proposed areas).
Full responsibility for maintenance of the hangar, all utility costs and those associated with
occupying the facility over the term of the tenure.
Will maintain all insurances including building insurance and public liability insurance.
Payment of one unit of rent each per annum which for 2014/15 is $256.30.
Maintain the airstrip and undertake regular Aerodrome Serviceability Inspections of the
landing ground reserve airstrips and report problems to Council.
Neither group will be permitted to sublet to another group, assign, transfer or mortgage rights
to use the premises.
Must not use or allow the use of the premises for charter or hire flights or commercial flying
school purposes. Training of members permitted.
Must not extend the airstrip or develop a new airstrip.
It will also be a condition of both agreements that Council will keep a register of noise
complaints. It is proposed that as complaints arise they will be dealt with in accordance with
the tenure agreement. At the end of the tenure agreement the complaints register will be
reviewed to provide guidance as to whether the tenure agreements will be renewed for a
successive term.
