Appendix B - Bushfire Hazard Assessment
Plate 7: VHC 8.1 flanking Six Mile Creek in the centre of the site
Narrow bands of vegetation also occur within the road reserve of both Evans Road and Lawnville Road
which adjoin the site. The canopy has attained a height of greater than 30m and is dominated by
Eucalyptus tereticornis (Queensland blue gum), E. grandis (flooded gum), Corymbia intermedia (pink
bloodwood), Lophostemon suaveolens (swamp box) and Cinnamomum camphora (camphor laurel). The
mid-storey and understorey are dense and contain a range of commonly occurring regrowth vineforest
pioneer species and Acacia disparrima (hickory wattle). The vegetation community is analogous with
Vegetation Hazard Class 8.1 (VHC 8.1) which is described as Wet Eucalypt tall open forest (QFES, 2019).
Plate 8 depicts typical conditions within the narrow bands of vegetation within the road reserve parcels
adjoining the site.
