PEKOL TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT 4.4 Intersection Performance The likely impact of the proposed development on the future year (2017 and 2027) peak hour operations on the surrounding road network has been assessed using SIDRA. These analyses are based on the peak hour scenario turning movement forecasts for the existing operations and assumed turning proportions for the post-development scenarios, which are presented in Appendix D. 4.4.1 Eumundi Road / Walter Hay Drive / Venture Drive Roundabout The SIDRA analyses performed to quantify the existing and future year (ie 2017 and 2027) peak hour operations of this intersection was undertaken using the layout shown in Figure 2.2. The results are summarised in Table 4.5 and presented in Appendix C. Table 4.5: EUMUNDI ROAD / WALTER HAY DRIVE / VENTURE DRIVE ROUNDABOUT Evening Peak 2014 Existing 52% 4.0 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements 2017 Pre Development 54% 42 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements 2017 Post Development 55% 43 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements 2027 Pre Development 65% 5.6 Ventura Drive — All Movements 2027 Post Development 66% 5.8 Ventura Drive — All Movements Saturday Peak 2014 Existing 48% 3.0 Eumundi Road (South) - All Movements 2017 Pre Development 50% 3.1 Eumundi Road (South) - All Movements 2017 Post Development 51% 3.3 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements 2027 Pre Development 56% 41 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements 2027 Post Development 58% 43 Eumundi Road (South) — All Movements The results predict that the Eumundi Road / Walter Hay Drive / Venture Drive roundabout will operate at an ‘excellent’ level of service during all of the 2017 and 2027 evening and Saturday peak hour scenarios. The additional traffic associated with the proposed development is not expected to significantly increase the critical degree of saturation. All of the scenarios assessed are within the DTMR acceptable limits for roundabouts. P:\2014-15\15-067 LIONEL DONOVAN DRIVE, NOOSAVILLE\REPORTS\139 EUMUNDI ROAD, NOOSAVILLE TIA REPORT.DOCX 20
