PEKOL TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT 4.4.2 Eumundi Road / Eenie Creek Road Roundabout The SIDRA analysis of the Eumundi Road / Eenie Creek Road roundabout was undertaken using the intersection layout as shown in Figure 2.3. The results of these analyses are attached in Appendix C, and are summarised in Table 4.6. Table 4.6: EUMUNDI ROAD / EENIE CREEK ROAD ROUNDABOUT Evening Peak 2014 Existing 66% 8.6 Eumundi Road (North) — All Movements 2017 Pre Development 70% 10.0 Eumundi Road (North) — All Movements 2017 Post Development 72% 11.0 Eumundi Road (North) — All Movements 2027 Pre Development 86% 19.6 Eumundi Road (North) — All Movements 2027 Post Development 90% 23.1 Eumundi Road (North) — All Movements Saturday Peak 2014 Existing 61% 5.9 Eumundi Road (South) - Ahead & Right 2017 Pre Development 64% 6.7 Eumundi Road (South) - Ahead & Right 2017 Post Development 64% 7.6 Eumundi Road (South) - Ahead & Right 2027 Pre Development 72% 11.2 Eumundi Road (North) - All Movements 2027 Post Development 77% 13.1 Eumundi Road (North) - All Movements Table 4.6 demonstrates that the Eumundi Road / Eenie Creek Road roundabout is expected to experience ‘very good’ operations during the 2017 weekday evening pre-development and post-development peak periods. Both of the 2027 weekday evening peak hour scenarios are expected to experience ‘acceptable’ conditions (according to SIDRA). All of the 2017 Saturday peak hour development scenarios are predicted to operate with an ‘excellent’ level of service, with both the 2027 pre and post development scenarios experiencing “very good” operations. Both of the weekday evening 2027 peak hour scenarios exceed the DTMR limits of acceptable operations for roundabouts (at 85%). However, the impact of the development traffic on this roundabout are relatively minor with an increase in the degree of saturation of less than 5% and only small increases in 95" percentile queues.
