The process is carried out by first identifying all hazards likely to arise, evaluating them in terms of likelihood of occurrence and adverse consequences using historical data, experience or other means. The proposed procedural statement or traffic guidance scheme should ensure that adequate means of controlling or reducing those risks found to be significant, are in place. All traffic control guidance schemes will be designed, developed and implemented in accordance with the MUTCD. Whilst it is considered that speeding through the traffic controlled work site posing a safety risk to the controllers and or workers a speed management plan will be developed if such issues occur. This plan will implement additions to the traffic guidance schemes through implementation of additional signage, advanced warning signs and speed activated radars. A Project Risk Register will be maintained by Shadforth and will be updated throughout the duration of the construction activities or when works change. Additional risks will be assessed, and control measures implemented as they are identified. It is expected that the Engineer will provide a project Risk Assessment of the construction activities.
