This TMP developed by Shadforth considers the physical traffic and transport impact of the works on all road
users (not limited to but including cars, pedestrians, cyclists and public transport). This TMP is based on the
information contained in the contract documents, construction methods, program and site visits by the Traffic
Management Designer

If any part of the program or methods changes, it may be necessary for the TMP (and TGS’s) to be amended.

1.8 Distribution

Shadforth will develop and submit the TMP to the Contract Superintendent or Principals Representative.

It is intended that the TMP and the site-specific Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS’s) will be continually updated
and amended, as required, during the contract period in response to any incidents, consultation/ meetings with
work force, traffic disruptions, audits or changes in the design and construction process.

1.9 Site Specific Traffic Guidance Schemes

TGS’s will be prepared for every scenario effecting relevant stakeholders necessary to complete the works.
These documents can be located in the appendices of this document.

The TGS’s will include detailed drawings that show proposed temporary signing and other traffic control device
layouts. The TGS’s will include details of:

▪    Lane or part road closures
▪    Major traffic control devices
▪    Approach speed / speed through works / departure speed
▪    Work site barrier locations
▪    Pedestrian and cyclist provisions
▪    Public transport provisions
