GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 DECEMBER 2016
Management are also seeking agreement from Council for the future leasing of BCC's annexe,
also to Montessori Noosa. The demountable building will be large enough for Montessori Noosa
in their first couple of years of operation, however if they grow in line with expectations they
would like to expand into the annexe. While this is subject to adequate enrolment numbers, a
degree of certainty around Council's willingness to enter into such an arrangement would aid the
planning efforts of both parties.
Currently the annexe is utilised by a handful of regular casual hirers for approximately 12 hours
per week. There is minimal sporadic usage outside of these hirers. Management is confident that
a majority of hirers could be accommodated at either The J or Noosa Leisure Centre, or at some
of the surrounding school halls. Permanently leasing the annexe would generate much higher
revenue than under the current utilisation model.
