3.0 BULK EARTHWORKS
The development requires minor earthworks for driveway crossovers and to tie
into existing site levels.
4.0 ACCESS
Access to the subdivision will be taken from Black Mountain Range Road. A new
residential driveway is proposed to access the new allotment. The existing access
crossover will be sealed and constructed in accordance with council standard
drawings.
Refer to Appendix B for preliminary infrastructure plans which identify
proposed road cross sections and layouts.
4.1 Sight Stopping Distance
A sight stopping distance study was completed for the development. The
findings show that the southern uphill approach to the proposed driveway
access is adequate for design speed of 90km/h (sign posted 80km/h plus
10km/h). A reaction time of 1.5 seconds and uphill grade of 5% were used. The
northern downhill approach satisfies a design speed of 90km/h with a reaction
