RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Executive Officer to the Planning & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 8 December 2015 in relation to various Noosa North Shore land
tenure matters and resolve:

A. With regard to the Reserve for Landing Ground for Aircraft, Lot 7 MCH4562, that:
     1. An application be submitted under Section 31D of the Land Act to change the
purpose of the reserve to “Open Space” on the basis that existing approved
secondary uses of the reserve may continue in line with Council’s resolution
dated 2 January 2014. In making the application, required consultation and
preparation of a Land Management Plan is to be undertaken; and
     2. Negotiations be initiated with Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service with a view to
entering into an agreement for cost sharing arrangements for maintenance of the
fire trail that also provides vehicular access (Landing Ground Track) to the
          reserve through National Park.

B. With regard to Reserve for Recreation & Camping, Lot 32 MCH4399, that Council
confirm the extent of land sought to be excised from Lot 1010 NPW686 is the area
between the southern boundary of the reserve and the northern perimeter of the
National Parks tour operator permit area (east of the Wilderness Track road corridor).

C. With regard to the Reserve for Quarry Purposes Lot 49 SP215032, that the Reserve
be split into 3 lots as proposed by Council resolution dated 1 November 2006, except
     that:
     1. The application be made under Section 31D of the Land Act to change the
purpose of the area south of the Quarry Track, excluding the former quarry area,
to Reserve for “Environmental Purposes” instead of Nature Refuge under the
          Nature Conservation Act; and
     2. The former quarry area remain as Quarry Reserve or other purpose under the
Land Act that will continue to provide for road maintenance operational needs
with the proposed boundary of the remaining Quarry Reserve to be regularised
for ease of management of the area.

D. With regard to lots 900 and 901, SP 186169, that Council enter into negotiations with
the Department of Environment & Heritage Protection to:
