                                                                                                                                    The location of the rooftop terrace elements are strategically located
                                                                                                                                    to be setback from the rear elevation of the building. This location
                                                                                                                                    limits views from the terraces down towards the neighbouring lots
                                                                                                                                    to the east. Views are therefore directed towards the east above the
                                                                                                                                    neighbouring dwelling and towards the coastline. The change in
                                                                                                                                    topography between the two sites assists this element with the
                                                                                                                                    adjoining lots being located on the lower side of the slope.

                                                                                                                                    The provision of rooftop terraces provides additional casual
                                                                                                                                    surveillance of the street while limiting on look into adjoining lots by
                                                                                                                                    the setbacks provided from the side of the building envelope.
