PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 JUNE 2019
# Site Description Image
15. Traversed by a watercourse / drainage line
(Image extracted from Noosa Shire Council Intramaps)
16. Comprises a sloping sand dune which is potentially
unstable.
Ground slopes varying between 20° to 27°, with steeper
slopes of 40° to 45° adjacent to the creek banks.
The existing vegetation is contributing to natural stability of
the slope through surface protection and the stabilising
effect of root systems.
There is evidence of previous land slips occurring on the
site, adjacent to the northern boundary on the western side
of the creek.
The most south western corner and north eastern corner of
the site contains notably more moderate slopes (i.e. marked
with red outline).
(Contour Survey Extracted from Applicant’s Engineering
Report)
17. Visually prominent from the adjacent footpath, currently
providing a high amenity value and dense vegetated
amenity from the footpath.
The dense vegetation also provides a link to other nearby
green spaces and ultimately Noosa National Park.
