Traffic Impact Assessment
Noosa Civic Expansion
3.3 Proposed Inner Ring Road Cross Section Design
Central Road will be a private road providing links to the car park circulation roads of Noosa Civic and
connecting the northern precinct to the southern precinct. The extension of Hofmann Drive and the Southern
Access road will be public roads, where the road reserves either side of the verges will be used for access to
utilities.
Both of the proposed roads (Hofmann Drive and Central Road) will be median-divided two-lane roads with
on-road cycle lanes similar to that existing within the existing Noosa Civic. The proposed cross sections of
these roads are based on the existing design of Hofmann Drive, and are illustrated on Figure 3-2.

On the proposed Hofmann Drive extension a concrete pedestrian footpath is proposed on the southern side,
consistent with the Shire Business Centre map. For the proposed Central Road, the Shire Business Centre
map indicates a future footpath on the eastern side. Since there is no proposed development on the eastern
side of the proposed private road, a concrete pedestrian footpath is not proposed as part of the current
development plan.
