3.0 SITE DESCRIPTION

The site measures 2.02ha and is located on the western fringe of the Pomona township. The site is
dominated by remnant open eucalypt forest, with an existing dwelling present on the sites northern
boundary. The site is surrounded by vegetated/semi-cleared rural residential allotments to the north,
south and west, and Pottery Street flanks the sites eastern boundary. Smaller residential allotments
associated with the Pomona township are present further to the east. Plate 1 depicts the site’s
position in the landscape and the extent of surrounding development.

The site is located within the Urban Footprint as defined under the SEQ Regional Plan and is zoned
as ‘Detached Housing’ under The Noosa Plan (refer Plate 2).
