Att10 - Electrical Services Plans
Plans and drawings: the text below has words only, no drawings.
SUMMARY.
The existing 100kVA supply to site is not suitable for the proposed works and a new Substation /
Transformer will need to be provided. This will require the installation of a new Substation and likely
need conduit and cable run from the Substation to the boundary of the property where the
overhead supply terminates. An Energex application will need to be submitted to determine the
extent of works.
The existing MSB is not suitable for the proposed works and will need to be replaced with a new
MSB.
The site is large and the Villages require power for lighting, general power, hot water and AC units.
These Villages will require individual Distribution boards to supply power for all required services.
We would potentially recommend running a larger submain to a Central distribution board and feed
sub boards from this location to limit the distance submains for each board need to be run. Running
submains to these villages requires travelling large distances. Voltage drop will need to be taken into
consideration along with the method of running submains. Underground will prove to be more
expensive than overhead but will have less of a visual impact to site.
We trust this is of assistance and look forward to your further advice.
Yours faithfully
Jed Fraser
