3. STAFFING

The NLC has one full-time member of staff (NLC Coordinator) and approximately 15 casual staff.
Staff are required to be flexible in their working arrangements and while they are predominantly
allocated to a particular work area, they also support other areas within the centre when required.

There have been no staffing changes or issues of note during this quarter.

4. SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND OTHER MATTERS

 The Centre is one of Council’s nominated Emergency Evacuation Centres. Planning and
preparation for such use has been undertaken in preparation for the upcoming storm
       season.
 A survey of group fitness participants is currently being developed and is intended to
provide feedback that will lead to program enhancements prior to summer.

5. FUTURE DIRECTION

 The Australasian Ladies Badminton Championships took place between 18 - 24 October
2015. 74 teams (350 ladies) from all over Australia and New Zealand competed in the
        week-long event.
 The Noosa ‘Contender of the Codes’, an amateur boxing event, will be held at the Centre
on 21 November 2015. This charity event will raise funds for local sporting clubs and the
        Sunshine Butterflies.
 Plans for improvements to the Centre’s reception area as part of Council’s capital works
program are under development. The works will allow for enhanced customer service,
more efficient operations and improved centre aesthetics.
 Developing a comprehensive long-term asset management plan for the facility has been
highlighted as a priority and this will begin to take shape over coming months.
 The Centre will have a brief shutdown over the Christmas and New Year period. The last
day of normal operation will be Wednesday 23 December, with a reopening date of
        Monday 4 January.
