    3.0       Characteristics of the Site and Surrounding Area

    3.1       Overview

              3.1.1 Location of Subject Site


              The subject site is located at Eagle Drive and Tait Street, Tewantin and is legally
              described as Lots 3 & 6 on RP149498, Lot 31 on RP149497 and Lot 10 on SP241386.
              The subject site is located approximately 1km from the Tewantin Township to the
              south, 3km from Noosaville to the southeast, 5km from Noosa Heads to the
              southeast and 13km from the Bruce Highway to the southwest. The subject site is
              afforded easy access to the Tewantin Township via Moorindil Street to the site’s west,
              which provides services include such as grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies and
              a newsagency. In addition, the subject site is also afforded with opportune access to
              several recreational open space areas and Tewantin State School.        Figure 1 below
              provides a locality map, which identifies the location of the subject site in relation to
              the surrounding area.
