Background & Site Details
The subject land forms part of the Shire Business Centre and has been partly developed as shown in
Figure 1, above. The land is bisected by Walter Hay Drive towards the north and fronts both Walter
Hay Drive and Eenie Creek Road.

The land is currently improved by the ‘Noosa Civic’ development which is located within proposed Lot
1. ‘Noosa Civic’ is a sub-regional shopping centre, retail showroom and commercial development
consistent with the Noosa Plan and the formerly adopted Shire Business Centre Master Plan (MP2),
prepared under the former 1997 Strategic Plan. MP2 has since been encapsulated within the Noosa
Plan in the form of various provisions under the Noosaville Locality Code and including the Shire
Business Centre (Map SBC) (Figure 2 - refer below).
