I refer to the above-mentioned matter and your letter of Information Request dated
3rd May, 2012 and I respectfully supply the following information:
Traffic
1. The current traffic volume generated by the site is a total of 8 car movements
per day entering and exiting the site; that is 2,920 car movements per year.
The proposed use will generate 2 additional car movements per week over a
two month period for the delivery of fingerlings. Therefore it is anticipated
that the total car movements following the development of the aquaculture
operation is 2,936 per year. This is an increase in traffic of less than 1%,
The property has previously been used as a commercial strawberry farm
which, during harvesting time, employed 40 staff and was serviced by semi-
trailers.
Road Encroachment

The shed is located between 4.7 and 6.06 metres off the southern boundary
of the site. The existing access track is located within the boundaries f the
site; except adjacent to the shed,

2 I also advise that the applicant has made application to the Department of Natural Resources and Mines regarding the validation of the part of the subject designated as Strategic Cropping Land. The Department has issued an approval deleting the part of the subject site previously shown as Strategic Cropping Land from the registrar. Re: SCl Validation Decision applying to lot 7 MCH793 in the Management Area in the Coastal
Queensland Zone
I refer to your application made on 12 September 2012 seeking an SCL Validation Decision over land identified
as Lot 7 MCH793. This land is located at 429 Kennedy Road, Pomona.
Your application has been assessed and it has been duly determined under the Strategic Cropping Land Act
2011 that the subject land be registered as Decided Non-Strategic Cropping Land. Those areas on the subject
land that failed to satisfy the Zonal Criteria requirements failed in respect to soil pH. As such, area within the
property is identified as decided Non-SCL.
Attached you will find a certified map showing the assessed extents of Decided Non-SCL within Lot 7 MCH793.
Section 73 of the Strategic Cropping Land Act 2011 provides rights of appeal in respect of this Validation
Decision. Any appeal is to be made to the Planning and Environment Court. Under Section 266 of the Act that
appeal must be started within 28 days of you receipt of this Information Notice. Please note, this validation
decision does not take effect until the end of that 28 day period.
