3 Key Findings of the Noosa District Sport Complex Master Plan
Key findings identified in the consultation and research for Noosa District Sports Complex Master

Overall, participation in the sports located at the Complex is a mix of static and increasing
membership;
The facilities generally require upgrades in response to their age and condition and in order
to provide for changes in sport participation and facility provision trends;
Council has a strong policy on environment sustainability which the clubs support, but the
facilities do not all comply; and
Most clubs have invested in the formation of development/expansion/improvement plans
for the sport and facilities.

5 Recommendations of the Noosa Sports Complex Master Plan
Recommendations contained in the Noosa District Sports Complex Master Plan relate to
increasing the usability and functionality of the site for both formal and informal physical activity,
while improving safe pedestrian/cycle access and connectivity. Major recommendations include:
Relocation of the internal north-south road to the west of the rugby league and touch fields,
requiring realignment of the playing fields (approximately 14m east toward the clubhouse).
This will remove a high risk pedestrian/vehicle conflict area within the complex.
