Shuttle Bus
Mission Statement: To make it easy to get around the Hasting Street precinct and
surrounds by public transport
Objectives:
1. To make public transport a real alternative to travel by car to the Hastings Street
precinct.
2. To provide frequent, reliable, cost effective and sustainable transport options for
travel to the Hastings Street precinct.
3. To meet the needs of both locals and visitors in a cost effective manner for Council.
Principles:
1. Council will not operate services but will partner with TransLink and/or service
providers
2. Council will foster a partnership approach and seek grants where appropriate
3. Council will only fund trial or temporary services rather than commit to recurrent
service funding
4. Council will seek to get the most out of the existing investment in services
5. Public transport initiatives deliver on the Noosa ‘look and feel’
6. Where appropriate, Council will trial solutions prior to full implementation
