That Council note the report by the Infrastructure Planning, Design and Delivery Manager to the
Services & Organisation Committee Meeting dated 10 December 2019 and appoint the following
three Councillors, Cr _________, Cr __________ and Cr __________ as members of Noosa

REPORT
1. Formation of a Noosa Cycling & Walking Strategy and Highest Priority Route Cycling
Corridors – Project Control Groups (PCG)
Currently Noosa Council has 2 projects in the 2019/20 capital works program:
1. Noosa Cycling and Walking Strategy and Implementation Plan (Including Recreational
Strategy)
2. Noosa High Priority Route Options Analysis - Cycling Corridor Planning Study
The Noosa Cycling and Walking Strategy and Implementation Plan (including the Recreational
Strategy) will update the existing Noosa Cycling and Walking Strategy (2004-2016) and develop
an Action Plan, incorporating cycling and walking for transport, recreational and health including
connections to the Noosa Trail Network, mountain biking tracks and competitive cycling
opportunities. The Strategy will re-establish a vision for cycling and walking in Noosa for the next
20 years (2020-2040), prepare updated network planning, as well as produce a five-year and ten
year capital works program of prioritised projects.
Noosa High Priority Route Options Analysis - Cycling Corridor Planning Study will undertake an
options analysis and concept design to identify on and off road cycling routes for two priority
corridors in Noosa Shire including preparation of a staged and costed implementation plan for the
routes. The two corridors are:
Corridor 1: Tewantin to Noosa Heads (east west link)
Corridor 2: Noosa Heads to Peregian Beach (north south link/Coastal Pathway)
