SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 10 DECEMBER 2019
Finance
This report seeks to extend the forward fees and charges schedule for a further 6 months
to 30 June 2021 to maintain the 18 month forward booking system for customers.
As a result of the user pays for electricity system, the cost per day for a powered site will
likely increase by less $4.00 from 1 July 2021 at current average daily usage levels
(8kWh).
Fees and charges to apply from 1 July 2021 (the commencement date for the new
management agreement and proposed user pays system for electricity consumption) will
be discussed in the first quarter of 2020 as part of Council’s 2020/21 budget deliberations
to maintain the 18 month forward booking system.
There will be no increases to site charges in the intervening period until 1 July 2021 other
than those indexed as part of Council’s budget process and those proposed within this
report.
The metered powerhead installation project is proposed to be included in Council’s capital
program - Zero Emissions Noosa Project Implementation 2020/21 budget submission given
strong alignment with Council’s Carbon Reduction Policy and zero net emissions 2026
targets.
All Council business activities are required to operate on a full cost pricing basis to ensure
the competitive neutrality principle is adhered to. Market comparison costing will be
included in the full cost pricing analysis as part of Council’s 2020/21 budget deliberations.
