demonstrated by:
a. Hastings Street serving as a major visitor centre; and
b. Resorts located at Morwong Drive, Noosa Drive, Quamby Place, Serenity Close,
Sanctuary Drive, Little Cove, Noosa Hill, Noosa Springs and Noosa Sound.
(u) Development in the Tourist accommodation zone is for visitor accommodation and
associated uses that serve visitors concentrated in areas close to Hastings Street and Noosa
River and in designated resorts.

(w) A variety of high-end visitor accommodation, retailing and dining uses incorporate
indoor/outdoor spaces creating active frontages from early morning to late evening.

(y) The Noosa Heads locality provides a range of community and sports and recreational uses
which support both residents and visitors.
Having regard to the overall outcomes above, the following comments are made:
a) while part of the development extends beyond the urban boundary, it is within the
Urban Footprint under the SEQRP, and there is a strong community need for the
development in this location. The development is consistent with the intended built
form character and identity of Noosa Heads. The built form is compartmentalised
within five buildings that step up the slope, with varying roof heights, all of which are
located below the existing tree line. The design incorporates roof overhangs and open
balcony areas and makes use of some light weight building elements (OO(b));
b) the development through its design and siting will sit comfortably in the existing
landscape and is responsive to the topography and setting by being integrated with
