reflects the Noosa Council mapping with respect to the class and distribution of Potential Bushfire
Intensity areas and Potential Impact Buffers. The SPP mapping removes several small and narrow
corridors/extensions of bushfire prone areas shown on the Council overlay. As per the Council
overlay, Assessment Areas 1 and 4 are entirely mapped in a non-Bushfire Prone Area (BPA) whilst
the western end of Area 2 and the eastern end of Area 3 is mapped in a Potential Impact Buffer
(refer to Plate 3).

The Potential Bushfire Intensity Classes adopted for the SPP mapping, and subsequently adopted
for the NSC mapping, are divided into five classes as per Table 1 below.
