    6.1       Referral Agencies

              The Planning Act 2016 and Planning Regulation 2017 provide the legislative
              framework within Queensland for authorities (Local and State Government) to assess
              development applications. Matters that require assessment may be delegated to the
              Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning (DSDIP).


              Following a review of the State Assessment Referral Agency’s (SARA) DA Online
              Mapping System and Schedule 10 of the Planning Regulation 2017, it is confirmed
              that this application requires referral to for assessment against the following:


                       10.17.3.5.1 Reconfiguring a lot in a coastal management district or for a
                        canal.


            As such, an assessment of the proposed development against State Code 8 – Coastal
            Development and Tidal Works has been completed and is attached at Appendix G of
            this report.
