                      SandMap – Report of Survey for Sunshine Beach Profiles


                                 A commercial PWC in AMSA 2C survey was utilised for this project as there was a need to
                                 survey in the surf zone. Lifeguards were made aware of the survey operations prior to
                                 commencement. A weather window of low swell and wind was required for this project to
                                 achieve the overlap required and to safely navigate the surf zone. Conditions on the day of
                                 survey were very good, although the good surf conditions attracted quite a few surfers who
                                 had to be avoided during the survey. The vessel transited to and from the Noosa River to
                                 complete the survey.

                                 This report will provide details on the adherence of the survey to the required accuracy
                                 standards, along with information detailing methodology, equipment used, checks and
                                 calibrations carried out. Full results of these checks are detailed in the appendices.



                                 Beach Description
                                 The area of Sunshine Beach surveyed consisted of a steep dune running down through treed
                                 vegetation to lower dunes. A low erosion escarpment existed along the beach at about the
                                 high tide mark, varying from a sharp dropoff to a more gradual slope. RTK GNSS pole shots
                                 were captured every approximately 20m at the nominal top and bottom of this escarpment
                                 between the profiles. The images below provide a visual description at the marked locations
                                 and with the aspect provided stamped on the imagery.
