SandMap – Report of Survey for Sunshine Beach Profiles

                                        Dynamic calibration
Pre and post survey system checks were undertaken at predetermined marks. As the same
GNSS system was being used for survey control checks, these checks were able to prove the
accuracy of the navigation data input.

                                        Bar check
A bar check was carried out on this project. This was carried out in the Noosa River however,
with likely different sound velocity to the ocean area of the survey site. As the bar check is
generally used to adjust SVP values within the SBES to correct the depth/time relationship, in
this case the sound velocity values would be significantly different on site and it was thought
better to conduct SVP dips at the site and adjust values within the SBES controller from those
real time results. This was carried out and the check results against the land based survey
prove the adequacy of this method.

Water column sound velocity profile calibrations
Sound Velocity Profile dips were taken using a SWiFTSVP instrument at the start of the survey
and incorporated into the CEE ECHO SBES prior to the commencement of survey.

                                 Sounding reduction and data presentation
Methods to reduce raw data to sounding datum
BeamworX software was used to reduce soundings from ellipsoid height to datum by use of
                                 AUSGeoid2020 during acquisition.

Principle and method used in sounding selection
Soundings were mean values. Plans were created for this project from the thinned data.
