RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager, Planning & Environment to the General Committee
Meeting dated 12 January 2015 regarding the waiver or partial waiver of development application
charges for 1 July 2014 to 31 December 2014.
REPORT
At Council’s special meeting of 26 June 2014, Council adopted its Fees and Charges for the
2014/2015 year, including its regulatory and commercial charges for lodgement of development
applications. This fees and charges policy included a number of policy provisions including
delegation to the Director, Planning and Infrastructure to “..partially or wholly waive a
development fee where strict application of the scheduled fee is obviously unreasonable for the
type of application being received.”
This report for Council’s information, identifies applications where a fee variation has been
granted for Council’s information for the first half of this financial year. Between 1 July 2014 and
31 December there were 5 applications where a partial waiver of the development application
fees was granted. The tables below set out a summary of each application and the reason for
the fee waiver.
