Council will publicize the availability of its grants programs widely and in such a way as to
promote public confidence in the process.
Annual Operating Costs Grants, Community Project Grants and RADF Grants applications must
be submitted by the advertised closing date and time. Applications received after the closing

In assessing the grants, Council will:
• Ensure public monies are allocated in a fair and equitable way.
• Ensure best possible value for money.
• Check each application against eligibility criteria and particular assessment criteria, as set
out in the appropriate Grant Guidelines.
• Seek recommendations from an expert panel that can comprise Council officers,
Councillors and/or community representatives.
All successful applicants must enter into a funding agreement with Council and acquit funds
within the allocated timeframes. The timeframes and acquittal requirements are outlined in the
supporting Grant Guidelines for the specific funding program.
