7.1 Visual Impact
7.1.1 Setting and Location
nbn has endeavoured to strike a balance between providing services and
minimising any visual impact on the community and local environment.
Telecommunications facilities need to be located in or near the area for which
they are designated to provide or improve coverage. This site was selected
based on consideration of town planning matters, coverage objectives, and the
ability to mitigate impacts on the area’s visual amenity.
The subject property currently features two residential dwellings, a shed and
shipping container. The proposed facility will comprise a 12 m x 10 m lease area
to be located in the south-western corner of the property, near to the existing
driveway. Figures 7.1 7.2 & 7.3. illustrate the location of the proposed facility
on the subject site.
