                                      Additionally, the proposed facility is
                                      located on land mapped as being within a
                                      Bushfire Hazard Area (Medium Bushfire
                                      Hazard Area). Being a non-sensitive use,
                                      the proposed development is considered
                                      to be compatible with the level of risk
                                      associated with the bushfire hazard. The
                                      following design features apply:

                                          •   No buildings are proposed and the
                                              subject     development    is   not
                                              habitable use. Therefore, the
                                              facility will not result in an
                                              additional increase in the number
                                              of people living, working or
                                              congregating in the area;
                                          •   The facility will not increase
                                              bushfire risk, given it doesn’t
                                              involve hazardous materials; does
                                              not emit undue heat, sparks or
                                              open flame;
                                          •   The tower has been designed to be
                                              resilient to bushfire damage; and
                                          •   An appropriate concrete area will
                                              surround the facility and provide
                                              suitable distance from hazardous
                                              vegetation.

                                      Therefore, the facility is unlikely to
                                      increase landslide or bushfire risk to
                                      people,   property   or   the   natural
                                      environment.



The Development is considered to comply with the overall outcomes of the
Natural Hazards Overlay Code. For these reasons further compliance with the
performance outcomes of the Natural Hazards Overlay code is not considered
necessary.
