SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 NOVEMBER 2019

Council maintains a forward fees and charges schedule for all holiday parks to allow for future
booking of sites by customers. Twice yearly, Council reviews and amends fees as required to
maintain an 18 month advance booking period commensurate with industry standards.

At Council’s June 2019 Ordinary Meeting, Council adopted its 2019-20 Schedule of Fees and
Charges. This report recommends the Campground’s fees and charges be amended to reflect
finalised redevelopment capital costings and market comparison pricing, and new fees and
charges be set for the period 1 January 2020 - 11 July 2021 (cessation of winter school holidays)
to allow forward bookings of the Campground by customers.

Accordingly, it is proposed:
 Campground tariffs increase by 16.7% - 32.6% from the tariffs in place prior to
redevelopment of the campground (refer to Table 1). The tariff increases are essential to
     ensure:
o full cost recovery for ratepayers,
o competitive neutrality legislative requirements are met, and
o an appropriate return on investment given capital expenditure of $3m to renovate and
         refurbish the Campground.
 Washing machine charges increase from $4 to $5 (refer to Table 2)
